Apparently we have the opponent for Roman Reigns at this month’s WWE SummerSlam 2019 pay-per-view locked in.
Apart from the already reported Dolph Ziggler vs. Bill Goldberg match that is apparently going to be announced soon, Reigns’ opponent for the WWE SummerSlam 2019 PPV is expected to be Daniel Bryan.
Dave Meltzer (@DaveMeltzerWON) was first to report the news in his latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
The angle at this week’s WWE SmackDown LIVE where things fell on Reigns, supposedly the work of a mystery person is expected to be revealed as Bryan being culprit.
The Reigns-Bryan match at WWE SummerSlam 2019 is also the reason why WWE scrapped plans about Bryan making his career-changing announcement that was advertised over the previous two weeks for SmackDown LIVE.
Bryan and Reigns are also scheduled to be wrestling one another at post-WWE SummerSlam non-televised live events going forward, so this would further appear to confirm that Bryan is behind the attack on Reigns.
