It looks like another NXT invasion of WWE’s blue brand could be in store this evening, as several top Superstars from the black-and-gold brand are backstage at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania — the site for tonight’s edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown On FOX.
All four members of The Undisputed ERA are backstage at the Philly arena, as NXT World Champion Adam Cole, NXT North American Champion Roderick Strong and NXT Tag-Team Champions Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish have all been spotted backstage at the Wells Fargo Center today.
O’Reilly and Fish are currently scheduled to compete in a triple threat tag-team title match at this month’s WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view, while Strong is set to be included in another triple threat match that features the WWE Intercontinental Champion (currently Shinsuke Nakamura) and the WWE United States Champion, AJ Styles.
It’s unclear if the four members of The Undisputed ERA will be appearing on camera on tonight’s WWE Friday Night SmackDown On FOX broadcast, but based on the story line progression leading into the WWE Survivor Series PPV, particularly the invasion angles the past few weeks on WWE television, it would seem like a safe bet.
Also spotted backstage at the site of tonight’s WWE Friday Night SmackDown On FOX show is NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler.
In her case, much like The Undisputed ERA, “The Queen of Spades” is set to compete in another champion vs. champion vs. champion non-title match featuring the top women’s title-holders from RAW, SmackDown and NXT at the WWE Survivor Series PPV, with Becky Lynch and Bayley representing the former, and Baszler the latter.
