Apparently it’s considered a “lock” that the WWE Universe will see the return of a very familiar WWE Hall Of Fame face as a surprise entrant in the 30-Man Royal Rumble Match at this month’s WWE Royal Rumble 2020 pay-per-view.
According to Wrestle Zone, WWE Hall of Famer Adam “Edge” Copeland very well may be making his in-return return in this year’s Royal Rumble matchup.
Reports are that “The Rated-R Superstar” is a “lock” for an early appearance in the annual elimination match, marking his first return as a competitor since he retired back in 2011 due to lingering neck issues and cervical fusion.
Rumors of Edge making an in-ring return have circulated in the past, most recently when the retired performer signed a new deal with WWE.
The former World Champion denied these claims by stating that there was “no medical chance” he would be cleared to compete. He did make an appearance at last August’s WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, however, where he did get medically cleared to execute a spear on Elias.
We will keep you updated here as details continue to surface regarding the potential surprise WWE return of Edge in the 30-Man Royal Rumble Match!
WWE Royal Rumble 2020 goes down on Sunday, January 26th from Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas. The show will stream live on the WWE Network, and will be available via pay-per-view.
