— Eric Young is headed back to WWE, having now departed IMPACT! Wrestling according to a report by pwinsider.com. On last night’s IMPACT on AXS show, Young was featured in a pre-taped vignette in which he was pretty much stabbed to death by Deaner. That was meant to write Young out of storylines and thrust Deaner into the lead role of Young’s group, Violent by Design, which will continue. The vignette was filmed “in secret” in Nashville.
— Young has spent virtually his entire career with IMPACT/TNA and WWE, starting off with the former company before joining WWE’s NXT division in 2016, where he led the stable Sanity, which also included Nikki Cross, Killian Dain and Alexander Wolfe. Young (and the entire group) ended up on the main roster a couple of years later, but the act fizzled and Young was released from WWE in 2020 as part of the promotion’s COVID cost-cutting initiatives.
— Triple H gaining power within WWE over the last few months was a major catalyst in renewed interest in bringing Young back as he was the one who initially recruited him to WWE’s NXT brand. There is no word yet on when Young will rejoin WWE nor is there anything known as of yet about whether he will be joining NXT or one of Raw or Smackdown.
