As noted, WWE announced a pair of matches for this coming Wednesday night’s post-NXT TakeOver: Phoenix 2019 episode of NXT TV on the WWE Network.
Prior to the NXT TakeOver: Phoenix 2019 live special on Saturday night, WWE taped matches for this coming Wednesday’s NXT TV show inside the Talking Stick Resort Arena in Arizona.
In the first of two matches taped for the show, Io Shirai and Kairi Sane defeated Four Horsewomen member Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir in women’s tag-team action. The match was described as “fun with some solid spots.” In the end, Sane pinned Duke after a top-rope elbow drop.
Finally, The Forgotten Sons and The Street Profits battled in tag-team action in the second of two matches taped for the show. This one saw The Forgotten Sons pick up the win in a match that was described as a great one for the live crowd in Phoenix. From there, things switched over to the NXT TakeOver: Phoenix 2019 live special.
