- It appears Steve Austin’s contract with WWE for producing podcasts for the WWE Network has expired. It’s also fair to question Austin’s relationship with WWE moving forward as he was not in Orlando for WrestleMania weekend and the company has seemingly shied away from having Austin involved with the Hall of Fame, as both DDP and Kurt Angle had him on their list of people that they wanted to induct them.
- With DDP, he said he would have wanted Dusty Rhodes to induct him but since Dusty passed away, he gave WWE a list of five people: Jake Roberts, Scott Hall, Austin, Eric Bischoff and Mick Foley. Angle’s list was Austin, Brock Lesnar, Undertaker and John Cena. It sounds like in both cases, it was WWE who ultimately made the call and picked the person they wanted from those lists.
