— AEW announced last night that Sting will not be able to compete at this weekend’s Double or Nothing PPV after suffering an injury and subsequently not being medically cleared to travel. He was attacked by members of The Undisputed Elite in a post-match scuffle on last week’s AEW Dynamite. The beatdown included Kyle O’Reilly “Pillmanizing” Sting’s left leg with a chair so it’s unclear if the injury is for storyline purposes or legitimate.
— Fightfulselect.com reports that AEW is likely to add another match to Double or Nothing with Sting’s partner, Darby Allin, ready to take on O’Reilly. If it’s happening, the match is expected to be announced tomorrow on Rampage.
Due to injury last week, @Sting has not been cleared to travel & will unfortunately not be at this Saturday’s #AEWDoN Fan Fest Meet & Greets. For fans who purchased tickets to see #TheIcon, Watch your inbox for information on refunds
