It looks like “The Biggest Party of the Summer” could be taking place somewhere besides the usual Performance Center and Full Sail University locations that most WWE television and pay-per-view shoots have been held since the COVID-19 factor has hit the planet in early 2020.
In today’s PWInsiderelite.com audio, Mike Johnson noted that last week at the WWE TV tapings, the word making the rounds was that there was a “pitch” being made to have SummerSlam next month be held in several different locations that would “invoke the feel of the name of the show”, SummerSlam.
Specifically, he reported that the ideas that have been thrown out for match locations such as outdoors on a beach. Another idea has been to do at least one wrestling match or a “larger portion of the show”, such a cruise ship, where they wrestle in a ring but spill out and have some action on the boat or ship.
Johnson warned that these are simply pitches thrown around and nothing is locked in stone.
