— The holiday season is almost here and with that often brings changes to WWE’s touring and TV schedules. In the past, WWE has often had several days break around Christmas and/or New Year’s from a live TV show perspective and it appears this year is no different.
— As per a report from pwinsider.com, WWE Friday Night Smackdown is expected to be live every week until December 23, when the show is expect to air a taped episode. That episode is currently scheduled to be taped on December 16 in Chicago so that would mean that evening will see both the regular live airing as well as tapings before or after.
— WWE NXT will air live on Tuesday December 6 and Tuesday December 13 but the next day on December 14, the company will tape two episodes that will air on December 20 and December 27. The plan is to resume live NXT shows in the new year on January 3.
— It is not yet known what the plans are for WWE’s Monday Night Raw, at least for the show scheduled for December 26. Interestingly, the Raw brand has a live event scheduled that night in Columbus, OH but there is no mention of it being a Raw, but rather simply a house show. The week before, there is a live Raw on December 19 in Des Moines, IA so it’s possible that WWE will carry out a similar plan as they will for Smackdown and air a live Raw as well as tape content for the show the following week. The other option would be to run Raw in a non-traditional manner with a look back at the year or re-air previously aired content, highlights, etc.
