It looks like Tito Ortiz training at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida this week is a case of “where there’s smoke, there’s fire,” as the UFC Hall Of Fame legend is expected to be WWE-bound in the near future.
As noted, the MMA legend was spotted at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando last week, fueling speculation that he will be joining WWE in the near future.
PWinsider.com adds that Ortiz’s visit was not a one-day affair but rather spread out over several days so that the UFC star and WWE could “feel each other out” in order to determine whether there is a good enough fit for the two sides to work together in the future.
The “introductory meeting” consisted of Ortiz doing some in-ring training while familiarizing himself with the overall WWE system.
Ortiz has previously gone on record to state that should he join WWE, he would be interested in working programs with fellow former UFC champions Brock Lesnar and Cain Velasquez.
We will keep you posted here at eWrestling.com as updates regarding Tito Ortiz’s WWE status continue to surface!
