TNA iMPACT! Report
Matt ten-Hoeve, pwinsider.com
December 12, 2024

The episode starts off with a recap of last week’s iMPACT! – AJ Francis receiving his TNA World Title shot at Final Resolution, the battle between The Hardys and The System, Tasha Steelz stealing a win over Jordynne Grace, and the big eight-man tag match.

Moose comes to the ring to kick things off. He says that since he’s won the X-Division Championship, everyone wants to know what he’s going to do with the title. He’s a three-time TNA World Champion, so the answer to the question is very simple – he’s going to make the X-Division Title the most important title in TNA. He says that the TNA World Championship is held by one of the greatest wrestlers today, but no one is talking about him. They are too busy talking about Moose.

Moose then talks about Joe Hendry. He calls Hendry the hottest act in professional wrestling right now…but he doesn’t have a championship. Moose does. Moose then says that the TNA World Tag Team Titles are held by the most decorated tag team in professional wrestling history…but no one is talking about them. Everyone is too busy chanting Moose’s name. Moose says that he doesn’t need any of the fans chanting his name, their respect, or their support. When he’s done with the X-Division, he’ll be known as the greatest X-Division Champion in TNA history.

Cody Deaner’s music hits. He tells Moose that he respects him, but Moose better shut his mouth. A few months ago, Deaner lost his way and love for professional wrestling. He put the fate of his career in the hands of the people, though. Since doing that, he’s been having a ton of fun. Thanks to the people, he loves professional wrestling again.

Moose insults the fans that have been helping Deaner and says that Deaner hasn’t won a match since listening to the people. Deaner knows that, but says that Moose is wrong about something. With the people behind him, he can win a match. If he has the people of North Carolina behind him, he can not only win a match, but beat Moose for the X-Division Championship.

Moose laughs at Deaner and lays him out with a big boot. He calls for a referee and says that he’s going to give Deaner an X-Division Title match right now. The announcers say that Santino Marella has made the match official.

TNA X-Division Champion Moose vs. Cody Deaner

Cody Deaner is still down from the big boot. Moose kicks at him and still has the microphone. He hates to end the party short, but he has dinner plans. It’s time to take the show home. He runs at Deaner, but Deaner moves. Moose goes through the ropes and Deaner hits a dive.

Deaner throws Moose into the ring post, then back into the ring. Deaner climbs to the top rope and goes for a crossbody. Moose catches him, but Deaner wiggles out. He rolls Moose up for a two count. Deaner gets a two count on a backslide. Deaner fights out of a suplex and rolls Moose up for another two count.

Moose stands and levels Deaner. Moose takes off his jacket and hits Deaner with it. Moose goes for a powerbomb, but Deaner slips out and hits Sliced Bread #2 for a two count. Deaner calls for a DDT, but Moose slips out and hits a Uranage. He follows that up with a Spear for the win!
