We have an update on the injury / recovery status of former NXT World Champion Tommaso Ciampa following his appearance on the NXT TakeOver: XXV pre-show on the WWE Network on Saturday night.

According to PWInsider.com, Ciampa is said to be “way ahead of schedule” as he recovers from neck surgery but he remains sidelined indefinitely without a timetable.

Although there is no indication on when he will return to the ring, Triple H made the decision to bring Ciampa in for NXT TakeOver: XXV because he wanted him to be included in the milestone event.
