Tony Khan Announces AEW Grand Slam III For Later This Year

All Elite Wrestling President and CEO Tony Khan announced immediately following this past Wednesday’s television tapings that the promotion is set to return to Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens, New York for their AEW Dynamite Grand Slam special episode and their AEW Rampage Grand Slam special episode, which is set to be taped immediately following AEW Dynamite. Khan thanked the AEW fans in New York City for their support and for giving a home to pro wrestling and despite confirming Grand Slam for later this year, no other details were provided, but AEW will likely make an official announcement on Grand Slam III in the coming months.

The first-ever Grand Slam episode of AEW Dynamite took place on September 22nd, 2021 from Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens, New York and that event was headlined by then-AEW Women’s World Champion Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. successfully defending the championship against Ruby Soho, while Rampage Grand Slam was headlined by Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston beating Minoru Suzuki and Lance Archer in a Lights Out Tag Team Match.
