Thunder Rose Involved In Hit-And-Run Accident

Tony Khan Reveals Thunder Rosa Offered To Relinquish Her AEW Women’s World Title

AEW Women’s World Champion Thunder Rosa has been sidelined due to a back injury and it was noted that she will not be able to defend her title at AEW’s All Out. It would then be announced that an Interim AEW Women’s World Title Match will take place at AEW All Out between Jamie Hayter, Hikaru Shida, Toni Storm and Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D.

AEW CEO Tony Khan was the person who decided to have the Interim AEW Women’s World Title Match at All Out instead of taking the title off of Thunder Rosa. Tony Khan recently appeared on Busted Open Radio and revealed that Thunder Rosa offered to relinquish the AEW Women’s World Title, but just as he told CM Punk when CM Punk was injured is he wants Rosa to remain the champion and compete in a Unification Match to crown an Undisputed Champion once she makes her return.

Tony Khan said:

“I have told her [Thunder Rosa] just as I mentioned to CM Punk when he was injured that, ‘I would like for you to remain the champion. Get healthy, come back’ and we’ll have a big unification match to crown an undisputed champion when Thunder Rosa returns. Both of them offered to relinquish the title and I told each of them, separately, when they came back from their injuries, they would still be recognized as the champion but by the time they came back, there would be an interim champion which would set up an exciting situation.”
