Matt Cardona has the option to become All Elite.

According to Dave Meltzer from the Wrestling Observer, AEW has offered the Indie God a contract, although it is uncertain what the terms were, or if Cardona was interested in signing with the five-year-old promotion at this time.

Cardona is set to challenge Chris Jericho for the ROH World Championship at the Hammerstein Ballroom this Friday. Back in August, the 39-year-old star said in an interview that he does hope to finish his career back in WWE, where he wrestled as Zack Ryder. However, he stated that if he does return, it would be as Cardona.

“I’m proud to be the ‘Indie God,’ I’m proud to be the face of GCW, but when it’s all said and done, I want to end my career in WWE,” said Cardona. “I want to have another WrestleMania moment, I want to be in Madison Square Garden, but as Matt Cardona. Zack Ryder is dead.”
