The injury bug has been hitting AEW really hard lately and if a report is to be believed, a top WWE superstar is also dealing with what an injury that could sideline him at WrestleMania 41.
PWNexus is reporting that Kevin Owens is dealing with an undisclosed injury that is jeopardizing his WrestleMania match against Randy Orton. With two weeks left until the show, Owens doesn’t yet have a timetable to return to action and hasn’t wrestled in over a month – March 1 against Sami Zayn.
The report adds that alternative plans for Orton have already been discussed but WWE hasn’t yet pivoted to that yet, presumably as they are holding out hope that Owens will still be able to work WrestleMania. Dave Meltzer of f4wonline.com further shared that Owens’ injury is considered “significant” but he also had no further details on what exactly the issue is.
