Triple H & Shawn Michaels React To Wade Barrett Signing New WWE Contract, Barrett Responds

Paul “Triple H” Levesque and Shawn Michaels are happy to have Wade Barrett remaining at the commentary desk on Tuesday nights.

As noted, it was announced last week that Wade Barrett signed a new contract to remain with WWE NXT. The NXT commentator confirmed the news himself during an interview with BT Sport.

“”I’m about to hit my two-year anniversary,” Barrett told BT Sport. “Just signed a new extension to my contract, actually.”

After the news began making the rounds via public digital media outlets, Triple H and Shawn Michaels each surfaced on social media to sound off on the news.

“Great to have to Wade Bennett re-sign with WWE and remain as one of the voices of WWE NXT each week,” Michaels wrote via Twitter. “His in-ring experience adds an invaluable perspective to our brand and our talent! Thrilled to continue working together, Wade!!!!”

Barrett hopped on his official Twitter page shortly after catching wind of the comments from “The Heartbreak Kid” to post his reaction.

“It’s a privilege to get to play a small part in such a kick-ass show as WWE NXT,” Barrett wrote in response to the post from HBK. “Absolutely the best gig I’ve ever had. Love the show, love the people!”

Barrett added, “Thanks for keeping me around!”

In addition to the aforementioned comments from the WWE Hall Of Fame legend, new WWE Head of Creative and Talent Relations Paul “Triple H” Levesque also chimed in on social media to comment on WWE re-signing Wade Barrett.

“Proud to have Wade Bennett on our broadcasting team,” wrote Levesque. “And looking forward to many more years of working together!”

The former WWE Superstar turned NXT color-commentator once again resurfaced on social media to sound off on the sentiments shared by the “The Game.”

“Thank boss,” Barrett’s reply to Levesque began. “Thrilled to be on the team.. onwards [and] upwards!”
