WWE COO Paul “Triple H” Levesque held his traditional NXT TakeOver pre-show media conference call on Thursday to promote the upcoming NXT TakeOver: New York live special scheduled for the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York during WrestleMania 35 Weekend.
“The Game” spoke about the situation surrounding the NXT World Championship, as well as the former title-holder Tommaso Ciampa’s call-up despite undergoing surgery to fix a neck issue he has been dealing with.
Additionally, HHH touched on such topics as how he and Vince McMahon work together on the NXT call-ups to the WWE main roster, why managers are starting to emerge again in the NXT brand, whether NXT Women’s Tag-Team Championships are in the future for the brand, his own No Holds Barred Match against Batista at WrestleMania 35 and more.
