It’s unclear if WWE will be bringing up more NXT talent onto Raw and/or Smackdown ahead of the brand’s launch on the USA Network on 9/18.
There are some supporters who argue that this would give those wrestlers much needed exposure before the launch but at the same time, there is a danger that this could establish the NXT talent as secondary level stars when next to Raw/Smackdown counterparts.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter notes that the other complicating factor is that while Triple H’s “dream” of having NXT be a third brand has come true, he is going to be playing “defense” to keep Vince McMahon and Kevin Dunn’s influence away from NXT.
