Coming out of last night’s taped episode WWE Smackdown, there were several updates to the Evolution 2 card which will feature an all-women’s lineup.
Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss are safely through to the Women’s Tag Team Title match at the show, defeating Piper Niven & Alba Fyre and Michin & B-Fab in a three-way qualifying match. They will face current champs Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez in a four-way match with two more teams to be determined next week.
In another match that was announced last night, Jade Cargill will battle nemesis and Money in the Bank winner Naomi in a No Holds Barred match. The two have been feuding ever since it was revealed that Naomi took out Cargill and took her spot as tag team champion alongside Bianca Belair.
Finally, the last update will see WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus step back into the ring to challenge Tiffany Stratton for the WWE Women’s Title. On Smackdown, Stratton revealed that she was allowed to pick her opponent at Evolution and was selecting Stratus. Jade Cargill, who was also in the segment, will face the winner at SummerSlam in August by virtue of her Queen of the Ring win last month.
