Soon-to-be WWE Hall Of Famer and emerging Hollywood movie star Dave Bautista was prominently featured on the pay-per-view broadcast at UFC 246: McGregor vs. Cerrone on Saturday night at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
In addition to being shown early in the PPV for the Conor McGregor vs. Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone-headlined event in a quick cameo as one of the celebrities in the crowd, which also included such stars as lineal boxing heavyweight champion “The Gypsy King” Tyson Fury, NFL legend Tom Brady and marijuana cult hero Tommy Chong, “The Animal” also spoke with UFC broadcast team member Megan Olivi in the final moments that led up to the highly-anticipated main event.
Olivi interviewed Batista at ringside, asking the pro wrestling legend who she acknowledged will be getting inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame during WrestleMania 36 Weekend this April, for his prediction on the big fight. “The Animal,” who was decked out in a cowboy hat, noted he was a friend of Cerrone’s and that he was backing his guy.

Unfortunately for Batista, his pal took a good-old fashioned butt-whooping moments later.
“The Notorious” Conor McGregor would go on to defeat Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone via technical knockout at just 40 seconds of the first round of their 170-pound Welterweight bout.
The Irish mega-star, who was making his Octagon return for the first time since his 155-pound loss to reigning UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov on October 6, 2018 at UFC 229 and boxing loss to Floyd Mayweather on August 26, 2017, immediately broke Cerrone’s nose in the clinch with vicious shoulder-shrug shots to the snout of the decorated UFC veteran in the opening moments of the fight.
From there, McGregor would block a high-kick attempt from Cerrone — who holds the record for most KOs by kick in UFC history — and fire back with one of his own that got past the guard of his opponent, blasting him in the grill in the process. The former first-ever simaltaneous two-division UFC world champion would follow up with a flying knee and a barrage of punches until referee Herb Dean jumped in and called a halt to the action.
Just like that, Conor McGregor snapped his two-sport, two-fight losing streak and started the process of getting a rematch with Nurmagomedov for the UFC Lightweight Championship, or a potential 170-pound bout against rising UFC mega-star Jorge Masvidal for The Rock-approved UFC B.M.F. Championship.
