Latest On Potential WWE vs. AEW Wrestling Wars Brewing

Update On AEW On TNT: WWE Already Planning First Big Countermove?

As noted, All Elite Wrestling and TNT delivered their “Big News Announcement” on Wednesday afternoon.

As planned, AEW and TNT announced the launch of a new weekly AEW On TNT television series starting in October and airing every Wednesday night.

The particulars revealed in the announcement were that the show will premiere on Wednesday, October 2nd, and will air LIVE from 8pm Eastern Time to 10pm Eastern Time on TNT from the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C.

AEW and TNT announced that ticket pricing and the on-sale date will be unveiled on Monday, July 29th via AEW’s various social media platforms.

It is interesting to note that the AEW On TNT debut begins exactly 10-weeks from today’s official announcement.

Ironically enough (or maybe not), the week that AEW On TNT premieres is the same week that WWE moves SmackDown LIVE from the USA Network to FOX.

As noted, WWE is rumored to kick-off the move to the new network with a big 20-Year SmackDown LIVE Reunion special, similar to the RAW Reunion show this past Monday night.

It’s worth noting that “#AEWOnTNT” trended in the top ten throughout the day on multiple occasions in the United States, and even Worldwide for a period of time.

Check out just a sample of the mainstream media coverage that the AEW On TNT announcement garnered below.

The Wednesday Night Wrestling Wars are brewing, ladies and gentlemen.

We are all baring witness to the formative stages of another “Boom Period” in the business.

It is a spectacular time to be a professional wrestling fan.
