In a follow-up to a previous post about Alberto El Patron meeting with WWE officials – including Vince McMahon – in Stamford, CT last week, one person close to Alberto denied that there was a direct meeting. However, El Patron remains interested in returning to WWE to do a “farewell” type of tour.

Alberto has in the past aggressively bad-mouthed Triple H, but he did apologize a few months back as a way to open the door for a potential return. Even when he was in WWE though, Alberto was always considered a “Vince guy” rather than a “HHH guy” and the reports indicate that it is Vince who would be interested in having him back. El Patron is still signed to Impact Wrestling but his contract expires next month.
