Dean Ambrose Update (4/22/2019)

On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, it was noted that WWE does not expect Dean Ambrose to go to All Elite Wrestling and instead they feel as if he is just “unhappy” and “burned out” and needs a rest.

Dave Meltzer said that he heard that Ambrose is “retiring” but at his age, it is unlikely he will stay retired.

Meltzer reported in his latest newsletter that Ambrose going to AEW was not something that was the “direction” but he re-iterated that despite a lot of people thinking this is a work, it appears very much to be real.

For those missed it, Ambrose, along with Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins, sat down with Michael Cole for an in-depth discussion about The Shield -- and Ambrose's own personal -- farewell.

During the sit-down, Ambrose told Cole, "I'm cashing my chips and walking away, I won the game."
