Another update has surfaced regarding Ivar of The Viking Raiders ahead of his scheduled neck surgery on Tuesday in Birmingham, Alabama.

As noted yesterday, Ivar of the Viking Raiders was set to undergo surgery on his neck sometime today.

On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio at F4W Online, show-hosts Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez speculated that neck surgery will probably sideline him for at least a year.

The injury puts into question the future of tag team partner Erik, who was quickly jobbed out yesterday to Bobby Lashley.

It was suggested that when one member of a tag team is sidelined long term, the other often is buried and the future of the tag team as a whole is often completely up in the air when the injured partner is ready to return.

We will keep you posted here at eWrestling.com as updates continue to surface regarding the condition of Ivar of The Viking Raiders.
