WWE 24/7 Championship Updates (5/21/2019)

Update On New WWE 24/7 Title: Breakdown On Rules, Current Champion, More

As seen on Monday night’s episode of WWE RAW, the new WWE 24/7 Championship was introduced by WWE Hall Of Famer Mick Foley.

The rules are the title are similar to the old WWE Hardcore Championship during the infamous “WWE Attitude Era,” in that whoever holds the title is a target around the clock. The title will be eligible to Superstars on Raw, SmackDown LIVE, 205 Live, NXT, NXT UK and even WWE Legends and Hall of Famers.

On their official website, WWE.com, the company released a complete breakdown of everything you need to know about the new championship.

Soon after the title was introduced, Titus O’Neil came out of a scramble as the first-ever WWE 24/7 Champion. Less than a minute later, however, Robert Roode capitalized on the rules for the title and quickly pinned O’Neil to become the second WWE 24/7 Champion. His reign was also short-lived, as R-Truth pinned Roode later in the parking lot.

The third WWE 24/7 Champion, R-Truth, then promised in a tweet posted after RAW to bring the title to SmackDown Live.

Additionally, WWE Hall Of Famer Mick Foley spoke with Cathy Kelley in an exclusive interview backstage at the Times Union Center in Albany, New York following Monday night’s RAW. Check out that video interview below.
