A report from September indicated that former AEW World Champion MJF is involved in the movie “Violent Night 2,” a holiday-themed action sequel that has been filming in Winnipeg.

According to Fightful Select, filming for the movie will be wrapping up soon. MJF was originally scheduled to travel back and forth between AEW tapings and the filming, but this plan did not materialize, and he has been absent from television since All Out. The report also mentioned that there is currently no information on when MJF might return to AEW. However, sources within the company have suggested that he has caught “the acting bug” and has expressed enjoyment in his filming experience.

MJF has previously appeared in a couple of films, including “The Iron Claw” and “Happy Gilmore 2.” He is also set to appear in the upcoming Jewish summer camp comedy “The Floaters.” Before his hiatus, MJF’s last feud in AEW was against Mark Briscoe, culminating in a loss to Briscoe in a Tables ‘n’ Tacks Match at AEW All Out.
