So, what is going on with 205 Live following last week’s impromptu cancellation? Can fans expect to see the WWE cruiserweight-themed show at tonight’s Friday Night SmackDown on FOX taping at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada?
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, one possible reason WWE may have opted not to tape 205 Live after Smackdown last week is that they didn’t want FOX executives – many of whom were sitting ringside – to watch fans leave in droves after Smackdown went off air but with 205 Live still left to take place.
This has been a common theme with 205 Live being taped after Smackdown.
It’s unclear if 205 Live will be taped this week in Las Vegas, as some within the company are noting that current plans call for the show to indeed be aired, while others are saying it is likely to be scrapped again.
