Update On “Traditional Elimination Matches” At This Year’s Survivor Series PPV

On Tuesday night’s edition of SmackDown Live in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Nikki Bella defeated Natalya to become the official “Team Captain” for the SmackDown Live Women’s team in the “Traditional 5-on-5 Survivor Series Elimination Match” against the RAW Women’s team at next month’s joint-brand pay-per-view in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The other four spots on the SmackDown Live team are up for grabs to every female Superstar on the blue brand, except for Natalya due to the loss against Bella this week.

Also on this week’s SmackDown Live show, Zack Ryder and Mojo Rawley defeated The Ascension to officially earn a spot on the SmackDown Team in their elimination match at Survivor Series, which features teams from both SmackDown Live and RAW. The reigning SmackDown Tag-Team Champions Heath Slater and Rhyno have also been announced as one of the teams.

In addition to those developments, WWE also officially confirmed the rumored bout between Bill Goldberg and Brock Lesnar, as the two will meet in the squared circle at the Air Canada Centre in one of the featured pay-per-view matches.
