WWE Super ShowDown Update: Will Women Be Allowed To Compete In Saudi Arabia?

Update On Women’s Match At WWE Super ShowDown, History Not Being Made After All?

On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, it was noted that as of today, WWE officials have no idea whether there will be a women’s match on the Super ShowDown card tomorrow.

Both Alexa Bliss and Natalya made their way to Saudi Arabia, presumably for a potential match.

The final decision comes down to the Saudi government and on the WWE side, they have been having discussions for a while to try and convince the country to move forward with a women’s match.

It was also stated that Bliss and Natalya could be on the tour to announce a match for the next show in November though that seems less likely. The original idea was to have Natalya wrestle Nia Jax, but that plan was scrapped after Jax’s injury.

Dave Meltzer pointed out that there have already been female athletes competing in Saudi Arabia so there’s no major road block for WWE women to be wrestling either.
