WWE Warming Up To Managers Again

Update On WWE Bringing Back Manager Role, RAW/SmackDown Live Business Numbers

As noted before, WWE has gone from not wanting any managers on TV to actually discussing recruiting talent specifically for those types of roles, reports the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Apart from Lio Rush and Drake Maverick who are already on the main roster as “managers”, another name that was mentioned was Stokely Hathaway. It’s also doubtful that these performers will be referred to as managers, simply because Vince McMahon reportedly does not like using that term on TV.

This week’s WWE Raw and Smackdown shows disappointed from an attendance perspective. Raw on Monday in Denver drew approximately 5000 fans, quite a bit lower than usual for a major market and Smackdown the next night only drew 3500 fans which is very weak but not all that surprising since it was the same building two nights in a row.
