Post-RAW News & Notes For August 20

Updated Brackets For KOTR Following RAW (Photo), Rollins & Strowman RAW Tag-Title Win

As seen on a very newsworthy episode of WWE RAW on Monday night, the RAW Tag-Team Championships changed hands, as Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman captured the belts with a victory over The O.C. (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson).

After defeating A.J. Styles in one-on-one action earlier in the show, Strowman joined forces with “The Architect” to take on The O.C. in a title match. The finish saw Strowman score the pin on Anderson while Rollins prevented “The Phenomenal One” from interfering.

Following the match, Rollins and Strowman stood at the top of the WWE RAW entrance stage posing with the titles. The show went off the air with Strowman staring at Rollins’ other title, the WWE Universal Championship, with “The Architect” catching Strowman’s glance.

Once RAW went off the air, Strowman and Rollins took part in their first official photo shoot as the new RAW Tag-Team Champions. Check out the video from WWE’s official YouTube channel below.

Also on RAW, the King of the Ring tournament kicked off, with Samoa Joe picking up a win over Cesaro and Cedric Alexander defeating Sami Zayn in first-round matches.

With their victories on Monday night, Joe and Alexander move on to the quarterfinals of the tourney. Joe will take on the winner of the Ricochet vs. Drew McIntyre first-round match, while Alexander will square off with the winner of the The Miz vs. Baron Corbin first-round bout.
