While making the media rounds to promote his new film Rampage, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson made a stop at the Jimmy Kimmel Live! talk-show this week.
During his appearance on the show, Kimmel asked The Rock for his take on fellow WWE Superstar John Cena making the move into Hollywood, as he has been making the media rounds himself this week to promote his new film Blockers.
When talking about their rivalry, The Rock said, “In the world of wrestling, as you guys know, it’s fictionalized, it’s a TV show. But we had our rivalry, and now we can look back on it, it was so real. Like, we had real problems with each other. We had real issues with each other.”
The Rock said the two had their issues in the past and that’s where they stayed. He said they broke records together and are now good friends who keep in contact on a pretty regular basis.
“Now… he’s one of my best friends,” said The Rock. “We talk all the time, I’m rooting for him to win.”
