— The Wall Street Journal published an article today stating that two women have come forward with new accusations of sexual assault against Vince McMahon and that they are seeking damages.
— McMahon’s attorneys have received a letter from Rita Chatterton’s lawyer last month seeking $11.75 million in damages. Chatterton, who was the first female referee in WWE history, has accused McMahon of raping her in the back of a limo in New York in 1986. McMahon’s legal team also received an email from a lawyer for a former spa manager who says that McMahon assaulted her at a California resort in 2011. McMahon denies both charges and has refused to pay any of the settlements the women are seeking.
— In the article, it interestingly also talks of McMahon’s desire to return to WWE as the former CEO has told people that he “intends to make a comeback to WWE”, feeling as if he left the company prematurely after receiving “bad advice” and that the entire fiasco would have blown over even if he didn’t step down. WWE’s stock has not responded well to any of this news, dipping 2% since yesterday.
