Below are news and notes for tonight’s WWE SummerSlam:
- Vince McMahon is not at SummerSlam in Detroit. McMahon recently underwent major surgery and despite some people expected him to be backstage at SummerSlam but he is not.
- Despite rumors, Becky Lynch is not in Detroit for SummerSlam and was never scheduled for it.
- As reported before, Bobby Roode is in town and expected to start as a producer for WWE this weekend. He is not expected to wrestle anytime soon and remains sidelined indefinitely.
- Wrestlers who were brought into do media events: Rhea Ripley, Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, Big E, Chelsea Green, Dominik Mysterio, Rey Mysterio, Maxxine Dupri, Omos, Baron Corbin & Maryse.
- Randy Orton is also in town but is not cleared to return to return to in-ring action and according to some reports, isn’t particularly to returning.
