In a rare occurrence, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon was not present backstage at the SNHU Arena in Manchester, New Hampshire for WWE SmackDown Live this past Tuesday night.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Vince McMahon was not at this past week’s SmackDown Live in Manchester, NH but he was “on the phone constantly”, reviewing the show with people as late as one hour before it went live on air.
In McMahon’s absence, Triple H worked the Gorilla Position and Bruce Prichard presented the show to the producers.
Ryan Ward is said to still be the lead SmackDown Live writer and will remain in that role unless Eric Bischoff tries to make a change and ultimately, it would only happen if Vince allows it.
