— After a four year absence, Wade Barrett made his return to WWE last week as an announcer for NXT and is set to appear again this week in the same role. PWInsider.com reports that Barrett and WWE are involved in current, ongoing discussions for him to return permanently as an announcer and that his two-week appearance last week and tomorrow are intended to be a “feeling out” period for both him and the company to see if there is a good fit. WWE has reportedly been interested in his services as an announcer dating back to early 2020 and if he is signed to a contract, it is expected that it would be strictly in a non-wrestling capacity though that would no doubt be open to be reconsidered at any time.
