Could a showdown between boxing heavyweight champion “The Gypsy King” Tyson Fury and WWE Champion “The Scottish Psychopath” Drew McIntyre legitimately be in the works?
Professional boxing superstar and the linear heavyweight champion Fury released a video on his official Twitter feed on Sunday, August 30, 2020, where “The Gypsy King” officially challenged the WWE Champion McIntyre after months of the two going back-and-forth and trading verbal jabs on social media.
Fury tells McIntyre to “grow a pair” and step up to the plate to fight the master in the ring in the new video, which you can watch via the tweet from Fury’s Twitter feed embedded below.
“I’m thinking about people that I want to punch in the face, and the first one that springs to mind is a big fellow called Drew McIntyre. Now Drew…you’ve had quite a thing to say about me recently. I’d love to punch your face in honestly…right in the lips. So grow a pair, step up to the plate, and come and fight the master…me. So this is an official challenge video to Drew McIntyre, to WWE heavyweight champion of the world.”
Fury previously appeared in WWE and faced former Universal Champion “The Monster Among Men” Braun Strowman in a match at one of WWE’s events in Saudia Arabia, defeating the big man via count-out after delivering a knockout punch that sent the WWE veteran sailing through the ropes for an unconscious landing on the concrete floor.
