WWE Hall Of Famer Edge Returns As No. 21 Entrant In 2020 WWE Royal Rumble Match (Video)

WATCH: Edge Returns In 2020 Royal Rumble Match (Video), Backstage Update On His New WWE Contract

As expected, “The Rater-R Superstar” is back, as the 30-man Royal Rumble match at the WWE Royal Rumble 2020 pay-per-view on Sunday night marked the shocking return of the WWE Hall Of Fame legend Adam “Edge” Copeland.

After 20 WWE Superstars made the long-walk down the Minute Mark Park entrance-way for the traditional 30-man, over-the-top-rope battle royal style match, the ten-second count down clock appeared on the titan tron, marking a ten-Mississippi-count before the roof nearly exploded off of the Houston, Texas-hosted venue when the infamous Royal Rumble buzzer/horn sounded to signify the entrance of the 21st entrant in the bout.

And then it happened.

The “You Think You Know Me” phrase was uttered as the familiar WWE theme song of the former multiple-time WWE Champion and the winner of the 30-man Royal Rumble match at the WWE Royal Rumble 2010 PPV made his way to the ring with a very emotional look on his face, as he took in a moment he likely thought he would never experience again.

As we wrote in our fifth of five exclusive WWE Royal Rumble *spoiler* updates leading into the PPV on Sunday afternoon, despite reports claiming otherwise, Edge’s return in the 30-man Royal Rumble match this weekend has been planned for a while now.

Ahead of his return as the 21st entrant in this year’s Men’s Royal Rumble match, Edge was medically cleared by a number of doctors, including the official WWE medical team that is required to sign off on an injured, or formerly injured Superstar’s return to the ring. Additionally, he has reportedly inked a new contract with WWE in anticipation of his return on Sunday night in the main event of the first PPV of the New Year of 2020 for the world-leader in sports entertainment.
