A title change took place on this week’s edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown (6/5/2020).
Heading into this week’s show, one of the featured advertised matches was the Women’s Tag-Team Championship showdown between Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross, the team that went into Friday night’s show as the title-holders, putting their gold on-the-line against the former champion team of “The Boss ‘N’ Hug Connection”.
When all was said-and-done, it was the duo of Sasha Banks and SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley that ended up being the team that left as the new reigning, defending WWE Women’s Tag-Team Champions when the evening was wrapped up in Orlando.
After the show, WWE released several clips and video highlights from the Bliss & Cross vs. Banks & Bayley match, which featured the title change. Featured below are some of the match highlights as well as Banks & Bayley’s celebratory reaction to winning back the gold they held in the past.
Additionally, footage of their first photo shoot as champions, where they poke fun at past internet rumors by dropping down to the ground to throw a faux hissy fit, pretending to cry about the situation as they were rumored to have done when they dropped the titles after their first reign as champions.
