After the “go-home” show for this Sunday’s NXT TakeOver: Portland went off the air on Wednesday evening, the action kept going inside Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida.
Following this week’s edition of NXT On USA, the final episode of the weekly show leading up to this Sunday’s live special from the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon, a post-show segment took place involving the headliners of the NXT TakeOver: Portland event.
Tommaso Ciampa took out NXT World Champion Adam Cole after the 2/12 edition of NXT On USA went off the air, blasting The Undisputed ERA member with his Fairytale Ending finisher before posing with the NXT World Championship belt.
After Cole went to the backstage area, Ciampa then grabbed a microphone and cut a post-show promo to the NXT Universe in attendance, doing his final hard sell for this Sunday’s main event that sees him challenge Cole for the richest brize on WWE’s black-and-gold brand.
WWE released a pair of videos that shows the aforementioned events transpiring immediately after this week’s episode of NXT On USA went off the air. Check out the footage above and below.
NXT TakeOver: Portland featuring Ciampa vs. Cole for the NXT World Title, goes down on Sunday, February 16th from the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon, streaming live via the WWE Network.
