Wednesday Night Wars Ratings (Nov. 18): AEW Beats NXT, Both Shows Rise Against NBA Draft

The numbers are in for the latest chapter in the ongoing saga known as the Wednesday Night Wars between AEW Dynamite on TNT from All Elite Wrestling and WWE NXT on the USA Network from World Wrestling Entertainment.

Despite going up against the NBA draft, both wrestling shows on Wednesday night were up in average viewership with AEW Dynamite showing a significant week-over-week increase.

Dynamite checked in with 850,000 viewers – the most watched episode in almost two months – as well as a 0.37 rating in the 18-49 demo, the highest since January 2020, putting it in #7 on the night.

NXT showed a very modest viewership gain climbing to 638,000 viewers but fell to a 0.14 rating in the 18-49 demo and failing to chart in the top 50 shows on cable for the night.

For those wondering, the NBA draft was watched by 2.6 million people and it drew a 1.1 rating in people, 18-49.
