Vengeance Day

What You Didn’t See Happen At NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day 2021 Special Event

The main event of last Sunday night’s NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day saw Finn Balor retain his NXT Title against “The Bruiserweight” Pete Dunne. Immediately after the match, Balor was attacked by Pete Dunne and NXT Tag Team Champions Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch. The Undisputed ERA’s music then hit and Dunne and the NXT Tag Team Champions made their way to the back. NXT TakeOver would then end with Adam Cole superkicking Finn Balor and turning on Kyle O’Reilly, hitting him with a superkick as well.

Undisputed ERA’s Roderick Strong would then act conflicted between Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly, while NXT Champion Finn Balor and Kyle O’Reilly were laid out next to each other in the middle of the ring.

WWE then released a video of what transpired between Balor and O’Reilly after TakeOver: Vengeance Day went off the air. Balor noted that he’s not sure if he trusts the situation. He also warned his once-rival to be careful, stating that he is not cleaning up O’Reilly’s mess. Balor then made his exit and O’Reilly wasn’t far behind.

There is no word yet on what WWE has planned next for NXT Champion Finn Balor and The Undisputed ERA, but updates will be provided once it has been made available.
