Wrestle Kingdom 14 News & Notes: Will Ospreay Injury Update, Attendance Figures

The Wrestle Kingdom 14 two-night spectacular has come-and-gone, and they were pretty newsworthy events.

Here is just a small fraction of some of the news that came out of the shows.

Will Ospreay suffered what appears to be a right heel injury after his match and loss to Hiromu Takahashi on Saturday at Wrestle Kingdom 14.

There was a point in the match where Ospreay did a series of amazing spots where he was landing on his feet multiple times which is probably where he aggravated the heel.

There is no word yet on if he suffered any sort of serious injury to his heel but there earlier rumors that he may have broken it.

Attendance for the two nights of NJPW’s Wrestle Kingdom topped 70,000 with the first night garnering an attendance of 40,000 and the second night approximately 30,000.

The 40k from night one was NJPW’s largest paid attendance in two decades.
