Two friends – one a WWE wrestler and the other an AEW wrestler – met up at a recent hockey game
Former world champions Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho both attended a recent NHL game in Tampa Bay between the Lightning and Dallas Stars with Jericho captioning their photo with the comment “Best Friends!” The two were involved in a memorable storyline in WWE back in 2017 culminating with the “Festival of Friendship” and a match at WrestleMania 33 that Jericho has admitted is one of the highlights of his career. Soon after, Jericho jumped to AEW where he remains under contract but off TV. Rumors continue to swirl that Jericho may be looking to return to WWE in the new year once his AEW deal expires.
Owens meanwhile has signed a multi-year contract with WWE but remains sidelined after having undergone surgery for a serious neck injury. Owens is hoping to return to the ring in 2026 dependent on his rehab.
