WWE Announces Massive Face-To-Face Confrontation Set To Take Place This Friday On SmackDown

Last month’s WWE Royal Rumble Premium Live Event saw “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes win the 30-Man Royal Rumble Match to earn a shot at Roman Reigns’ Undisputed WWE Universal Title at WrestleMania 39 this coming April from SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. Since then, Cody and Roman has never had the chance to meet each other in the middle of the ring for a face-to-face, which Rhodes revealed immediately following his one-on-one match against Chad Gable last night on WWE RAW.

“The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes then said that Roman Reigns will be on SmackDown this Friday and he is ecstatic for The Tribal Chief’s appearance because he will also be on WWE SmackDown this coming Friday night, which will be Cody’s first WWE TV appearance on the blue brand since he was defeated by Apollo Crews on the April 26th, 2016 episode of SmackDown when he was still Stardust.

WWE previously announced that Roman Reigns will be on SmackDown this Friday to address and try fixing the issues with The Bloodline, mainly with the reigning Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions The Usos.
