It’s Wednesday again, and that means it’s time for the ewrestling.com recap of the WWE YouTube show, The Bump! Today’s show is full of guests, . Now that we’re all caught up on what’s going down, let’s take a look at The Bump!
-McKenzie Mitchell welcomes the viewers to the show, and introduces her co-hosts, Matt Camp, Evan Mack, and Ryan Pappolla. Once they briefly recap the highlights from the most recent episodes of Raw and Smackdown, McKenzie brings on the first guest, Alundra Blayze.
Alundra Blayze
Alundra begins by saying she’s “keeping active” lately, and “working hard”. McKenzie wonders what Women’s History Month means to Alundra, and she tells the Bump crew “I believe the history comes from people who have paved the way for me to do what I do, and I’m grateful for the women who have given up so much in their lives”. Matt chimes in, and he talks about the Dangerous Alliance faction. Blayze looks back on her time in the group, and credits Paul Heyman for “being a believer” in the faction. Ryan throws his two cents in, and asks if Alundra felt she had to “push” to get screen time at any point in WCW. Blayze says “I pushed for more and more and more, but I didn’t give up, or take no for an answer”. Matt takes Alundra back to Summerslam ‘94, and Blayze talks about Bull Nakano. Alundra says she and Nakano “had matches without even speaking to each other, and that woman is incredible”. Evan wonders who Alundra would like to face in today’s WWE, and she name drops Natalya, as well as Charlotte. McKenzie finally joins the conversation, and asks about the new NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships. Alundra tells her “I’m a big fan of NXT”, and she talks about Shotzi Blackheart being “powerful”. McKenzie thanks Alundra for stopping by, and the show moves on to the next segment.
-After the crew plays a few rounds of “Stump The Bump Trivia”, McKenzie welcomes on the next guest, Savio Vega.
Savio Vega
Savio begins by saying “he’s ready to enjoy” the day, and Matt asks how Savio broke into the business. Savio mentions his first time watching wrestling, and says “since that day I loved wrestling”. Ryan asks about the early days of Puerto Rican wrestling, and Savio tells the crew “it was hard to get into the business here, they protect it”. Vega adds that he learned “from A to Z, because I love wrestling”. Ryan talks about Stone Cold, and shows Savio a few words Austin had for him on a past episode of The Bump. Vega responds, and says Austin’s words “are very very true”. Savio continues, and talks about a conversation they had before their first match, before exclaiming “we had such great chemistry”! Ryan asks another question, and wonders what it’s like to know he defeated Triple H, Stone Cold, and The Rock first. Savio says “I always tried to help the younger guys, and teach them how to make the fans happy”. Ryan throws things back to a past episode of The Bump, where Rikishi had a few nice words about Savio. Vega responds, and looks like he has chills. Vega continues, and talks about the Samoan Dynasty. Savio mentions “it was nothing but love and respect”, between he and the Samoans, before adding “I would love to do it again”. Evan asks Savio about his fellow Puerto Rican Damian Priest, and Vega exclaims “the sky is the limit, and I see him as a big superstar”. Evan asks the obvious question, and wants Vega’s assessment of Bad Bunny. Savio calls Bunny “a Cinderella story, and this is pure business”. Vega finishes by sending a message to the next generation of WWE Superstars, and he explains that they should “never give up”. McKenzie thanks Savio for joining, and they head into the next segment.
-The Crew welcomes on NXT UK Superstars Jordan Devlin and Trent Seven, and they have a weigh-in, before their Cruiserweight Championship collision. Seven has been on a quest to get down to 205 or under for weeks, and according to the scales, he now weighs 204 pounds. The match is now official, and will be tomorrow night’s main event of NXT UK. After the weigh-in, McKenzie brings on the last guest, Kevin Owens.
Kevin Owens
McKenzie asks how Kevin has been holding up lately, and Owens says “I’m not doing so good”. Owens tells the crew he wants to skip that, and get to the fun stuff. Ryan begins to ask about the most recent edition of The Kevin Owens show, and Kevin cuts a promo on him about being a Sasha Banks mark. Ryan finally asks about Sami Zayn’s recent interaction with Owens, and Kevin explains “I don’t really know where he’s going with this”. Matt takes Owens back to a recent interaction with Edge, and Owens talks about a match with the Hall of Famer. Owens talks about hosting an episode of the Kevin Owens show after Randy Orton punted Edge last year, and reflects on Edge’s retirement. Owens mentions a talk he had with Orton before the KO show, and says “it felt like we were robbed of something” when Edge left. KO says “I was so excited to see his entrance” when Edge returned at the 2020 Royal Rumble, and “it was like the door opened again”. Owens adds “I really hope the match happens, and I could even be his tag team partner once”. McKenzie asks Owens what his favorite memories of Stone Cold are, and he talks about being “sold from the get go” on The Ringmaster gimmick. Owens continues, and mentions that his childhood bedroom “was plastered with Austin merch”. Matt shows Owens a clip of his own segment from the “Birth of the Stunner” documentary. Owens responds to the clip, and talks about the “science involved with the stunner”. Owens takes a look back at some his favorite stunners he’s dished out, and talks about “training at the Performance Center to make sure I hit it properly”. Ryan wonders if Owens would like to add anything to the move, and Kevin tells him that he thinks about it. Owens continues, and explains to Ryan that he’s “considered it, but i don’t want to”. McKenzie asks what Owens goals are for Wrestlemania, and Kevin says “well, I don’t have a match yet”. Kevin continues, and reflects on the way being left off of the Wrestlemania 35 card made him feel. Owens finishes his thoughts on the subject by saying “at this point, I’m just hoping to be on the show”. Matt and Kevin play a quick game of “Stunning Moments” to close out the segment, and Owens leaves.
The Crew hypes all of the upcoming NXT action, and talks about next weeks guests, as the show fades to black.
