It’s Sunday, and that means it’s time for a recap of the WWE YouTube show, The Bump! Today’s special edition of the show is full of guests, including Jinder Mahal, Braun Strowman, Cesaro, Dolph Ziggler, and Bobby Roode. Now that we’re all caught up on what’s going down, let’s take a look at The Bump!

WWE The Bump

⁃ Kayla kicks off today’s show by telling viewers “we’re gonna have a good time”, and she runs down the list of guests that’ll be on the show today.
⁃ The rest of The Bump crew joins the show, and they all share their thoughts on the latest WWE happenings, until Kayla brings on the first two guests.

Dolph Ziggler and Bobby Roode

Kayla welcomes both men on, and they proudly hold up their titles. Kayla gets right into it, and asks Dolph how he’s feeling heading into the match tonight against the Mysterio’s. Dolph says “when you have the attributes we have, we have a chance to have a long reign”. Dolph goes on to say that Dominik didn’t earn the chance to face them, and Roode adds to that. Roode explains “we’re gonna have these titles for a long time. We are a team, and tonight is a new day, and we look forward to embarrassing this father-son duo.” Kayla talks about “hiccups” the team has had, and she wonders if the loss on Friday gave the Mysterio’s momentum. Dolph says “him and I have gone back and fourth for years. I took my eyes off the prize, and it cost me.” Dolph goes on to say “I am back on track, and I haven’t slept an hour thinking about this match.” Ryan chimes in, and talks about how the champs have more experience as a team than the Mysterio’s. Roode explains that they have an advantage over Dominik, because he is “nervous and anxious.” Evan joins the conversation, and he asks about the possible moment the Mysterio family may have tonight. Dolph goes on a rant after that, and he questions why it may be a moment, asking “is it because WWE told you it’s cool?”. Kayla gets things back on course, and asks about the target on Roode and Ziggler’s back as Champions. Roode questions “what is a moment? What’s best for this tag team division?” Bobby answers his own questions, and says “no one is better than us. Tonight you will see why we are the Dirty Dogs”. Matt asks if they draw inspiration from teams of the past, and Roode tells him “we’re not the same as anybody else. We are a team that’s very unique. We are two singles performers who have held Championships everywhere.” The crew thanks the Smackdown Tag Team Champions for stopping by, and they move into a preview segment.

⁃ The Crew previews tonight’s Smackdown Women’s Championship match, as well as The Miz vs Damian Priest, until Kayla brings on the next guest.

Jinder Mahal

Kayla kicks things off by asking Mahal how it feels to be back, and he talks about making Jeff Hardy look like “an extra talent” on Monday. Mahal mentions his new “associates”, and says “I feel 100%”. Matt asks Jinder about meeting his new help, and Mahal explains “I’m just looking forward to regaining that WWE Championship.” Evan asks about Mahal’s rehab process, and Jinder explains “I’m here to lead the way for the next generation of Indian superstars. That’s the motivation at this point.” Ryan joins the conversation, and he brings up all of the big men in the WWE Universe, like Omos, Veer, and Shanky. Jinder says “I grew up watching the titans of the ring, and I look around the WWE now... it’s like old times, so to see Omos vs Shanky, possibly, is exciting.” Kayla rejoins the conversation, and she asks what fuels Mahal to be Champion again. Jinder talks about fans calling his first reign a “P.R. move”, and he explains that’s not what it was. Mahal says “I am confident now. I’ve been in there with the greats, and learned something from them all, and that’s what makes me the best version of myself.” Evan throws his two cents in, and he’s impressed with the physical state of Mahal. Jinder tells him about the great Superstars of the past who have been Champion, and explains that he’s “so happy to be a part of the list of Champions.” Jinder closes by saying “I’m not going anywhere, I will go down as one of the greatest WWE Superstars, and a first-ballot hall of famer.” Kayla thanks “The Modern Day Maharaja” for joining the show, and the crew makes a few predictions.

⁃ The crew makes their picks for the upcoming Smackdown Tag Team Championship match, the Smackdown Women’s Championship match, and The Miz vs Damian Priest.
⁃ After the picks are in, Kayla welcomes on another guest.

Braun Strowman

Kayla starts off the interview by asking Braun how he’s feeling heading into tonight’s match, and he explains “I feel great. I know I have my hands full tonight. This is a battle of the titans.” Evan wonders who Braun had the biggest issue with, and he tells Evan “I just want that title. Both men put me on the sideline in the past, so I have beef with both men!” Matt asks about the past tastes of Gold Braun had, and Strowman explains “those lit more of a fire under me, and reminded me why I push myself to do this. It’s because I am ‘The Monster Among Men’”. Matt shows a graphic that says the combined weight of all three men is 923 lbs. Braun tells Matt “this is the land of the giants, man.” Ryan takes Braun back to his cage match against Shane McMahon, and Braun tells him “he really helped me tap into my emotions, and it was a good feeling to get payback on him.” Kayla comes behind the comments by asking how the outcome of the match affected him, and Braun explains “the iron is hot. I have to keep the iron hot from now on, and I’m not gonna lay down for anyone.” Ryan joins the conversation, and he asks about “the resurgence of the big man.” Braun explains “I was very fortunate to learn under some of the giants, and I’m one of the last of a generation. We have Omos now, and he’s a monster. We might come toe-to-toe one day, and I look forward to that.” Braun closes by telling his opponents tonight to “rest up, and pack a lunch... you’re gonna need it,” and the hosts move on to the next segment.

⁃ Kayla and the co-hosts preview more matches, until Kayla brings on the final guest of the day.

The challenger in tonight’s WWE Universal Championship match joins the show, and he seems excited. Kayla puts things in motion, and she asks Cesaro how he’s feeling. Cesaro explains “I’m nervous, very excited, and super pumped. I’ve waited for this moment for a very long time.” Matt takes Cesaro back to this past Friday, where he took on Jimmy Uso. Cesaro shares his thoughts on what went down, and tells Matt “I’m focused on winning the Championship, and Roman used his family to his advantage. Now he has to deal with the consequences.” Ryan comes behind that by talking about distractions, and Cesaro says he loves the new “Keeping Up With The Samoan’s” show, and ties that into having his own family. Cesaro says “they all brought it on themselves”, and continues to talk about his own version of family. Cesaro explains “I have so many in the locker room who would be there for me if I need them.” Kayla rewinds to Wrestlemania, and wonders if Cesaro always knew he would go for the Universal Championship after the match with Seth. Cesaro explains “yes, that’s the main goal. That’s the next step.” Matt brings up that Cesaro did the UFO at the event, and wonders if Cesaro would call the move “a secret weapon”. Cesaro tells him “I always knew I could do it, I just didn’t know when.” Cesaro goes on to say “if anyone doesn’t think they can do it, just look in a mirror, and tell yourself you can. That’s how you do it.” Kayla follows up by showing everyone a few comments Cesaro had, during a past edition of Talking Smack, and Cesaro responds by saying “that was the catalyst for me. I would have said ‘I couldn’t say it better myself’, but I did say it myself.” Kayla asks Cesaro for his final words heading into the match against Roman, and Cesaro says “I just want to thank everyone who believes in me. It means the world to me! Roman Reigns, honestly, I don’t think you’re ready for me.”

⁃ Once the final interview segment comes to a close, the hosts make their final Wrestlemania Backlash predictions, until the show fades to black.

That’s all for this weeks episode of The Bump! Thanks for stopping by the recap, and have a great rest of your day everyone.
