It’s Wednesday, and that means it’s time for another edition of WWE’s The Bump! Today’s episode is full of top notch guests, including Nikki A.S.H and Finn Balor. Now that we’re all caught up on what’s going down, let’s take a look at The Bump!
WWE’s The Bump
⁃ Kayla starts off the show, and tells the viewers “we have a really exciting show on tap for you today.”
⁃ The rest of The Bump crew share a few general thoughts on all of the latest action from WWE, until Kayla brings on the first guest.
Nikki A.S.H
The new Raw Women’s Champion makes her way into The Bump studio, and she’s in her full gimmick. Nikki gives each host a hug, and tells them all “thank you so much for having me.” Kayla asks Nikki to walk the viewers through her cash in, and Nikki explains “my mind was racing like a tornado in there. But on the other hand, I was feeling calm, because I was in front of my extended family, the WWE Universe. So it was like nice serenity, and a whirlwind.” Footage of Nikki cashing in is shown, and Nikki responds to her highlight moment by telling the host’s “that’s the first time I’ve seen that in full. I’ve seen clips and videos, but that was so weird. It feels like a dream, like I’m watching someone else. But it’s me!” Matt chimes in, and he wonders how Nikki climbed the ladder so fast on Sunday. Nikki tells Matt “for me, as an almost superhero, you wait for the right time to fly, for the right time to save the day. The briefcase was there, and it was like a beacon calling to me, like a lighthouse. I just went up there and I got it. The other women in the match are amazing, so if I hadn’t done it then someone else may have.” Ryan changes gears, and show’s Nikki a few comments her peers had for her. Nikki responds to the support from her coworkers, and explains “it’s such fantastic feeling, it shows I did something right. Having the respect and support and love.. don’t set me off, I have make up on(laughs)!” Matt jumps back in, and he asks Nikki about the strategy behind her cash in. Nikki says “for me, I’m a big believer in go with your instincts, and everything told me to cash in during that moment. Follow your heart and follow your dreams, and if it feels right, go for it and fly.” Matt brings up WWE superhero’s from the past, and wonders if Nikki draws any inspiration from the likes of The Hurricane, or Mighty Molly. Nikki thinks it over, and tells the host’s “I loved The Hurricane! And who doesn’t love Mighty Molly?” Kayla thanks Nikki for stopping by, and the show rolls on to the next segment.
⁃ Ryan heads over to the big board, where he starts a new segment called “The Fan Five.”
⁃ After the fan questions wrap up, Kayla brings on the final guest of the day.
Finn Balor
The most recent addition to the Smackdown roster joins the hosts, and Matt begins by asking about the reaction Balor received from the crowd in Houston. Finn responds, and tells Matt “Obviously its incredible to return to any brand, but I’m happy with how the segment went. They were sending from guerilla and I was like ‘I can’t hear my music’, so it was great.” Evan wants to know why Finn went after Sami Zayn, and Finn explains “I think everyone wants to target Sami Zayn recently right? But it was a right place, wrong time thing. I think he’s been talking more than normal, but I’m a man of business.” Ryan chimes in, and he wonders if Balor ever thought his entrance music would become what it has today. Finn thinks it over, and tells viewers “it’s so interesting to talk about it. You have all of these concerns about how you will be presented before you come here, and they told me they would make something especially for me. When I heard it for the first time, I went ‘that’s it, let’s do it’. So yeah, right from the first time it was a go.” Matt changes gears, and shows Finn the comments he had on Talking Smack, where Balor mentioned plans of chasing titles. Finn responds to the clip, and states “I think I have unfinished business with the Universal Championship. For me, it was the journey, and what made me who I am today, but man there is something that has to be revisited with the Universal Championship, and that’s why I’m on Smackdown.” Kayla wonders if Finn has put any thought into chasing tag team gold, and Balor tells her “that’s honestly something I haven’t thought about once.” Kayla thanks Finn for stopping by the show, and the final interview segment comes to a close.
⁃ After Finn moves on, The Bump crew announces the guests or next week.
⁃ Ryan, Matt, and Evan talk hype tomorrow’s episode of NXT UK, until Kayla sends the show off air.
