WWE The Bump Full Recap(7/7)

It’s Wednesday again, and that means it’s time for another episode of the WWE YouTube show, The Bump! Today’s edition of the show is full of top notch guests, including Drew McIntyre, X-Pac, and Liv Morgan. Now that we’re all caught up on what’s going down, let’s take a look at The Bump!

WWE’s The Bump

⁃ Kayla kicks The Bump by telling viewers “we’re gonna have a good time”, and she runs down the list of guests that’ll be on the show today.
⁃ The rest of The Bump crew joins the show, and they each share general thoughts about the latest episodes of Smackdown, Raw, and NXT.
⁃ After Matt, Ryan, and Evan wrap up their opening thoughts, Kayla brings on the first guest.

X-Pac

The Two-Time WWE Hall of Famer joins The Bump crew, and he’s here to celebrate NWO week. X-pac is the first in-studio guest in over a year, and the screen is in the classic NWO black and white. X-pac tells the hosts “it’s great to be here,” and he talks about his knee surgery recovery, which “is going great.” Ryan begins by asking about the night the NWO came together, and X-Pac tells him “I kinda had an idea that it would happen, but man you just didn’t know. I didn’t know it would become so monumental.” Matt Recalls the night Syxx joined the NWO, and Waltman tells Matt “I felt it, and it was amazing. I joined before alot of other people did. Just having the opportunity to be involved was amazing.” Evan brings up the NWO Wolfpack, and asks about the origins of the group. X-Pac tells him “it was the WCW clique. The WCW version of it was the Wolfpack.” Ryan wonders who came up with the idea for the name Syxx, and X-Pac explains “Hulk used to call be six pack, because I like to drink beer. But then my younger friends, like Konnan, they changed the name to Pac.” Evan asks about X-Pac’s departure from WCW, and the hall of famer tells him “I think I would’ve thrived if I stayed. My stock elevated after the match with Flair.” Ryan points out that X-Pac wouldn’t have joined D-X had he stayed in WCW, and X-Pac responds, telling Ryan “they all would have still crushed it without me. I do wonder what would have happened without me though.” Kayla asks one last question, and she takes X-Pac back to the WWE Hall of Fame. X-pac recalls his induction as a member of the NWO, and explains “I get nervous in situations like that, having to speak. It means the world to stand up there, these are my best friends in my entire life that I spent years going up and down the road with, so yeah it means the world to me. I would’ve liked to mention more people up there.” Kayla thanks X-Pac for stopping by, and the host’s move on to the next segment.

⁃ Up next, it’s time for the Wednesday Morning Wakeup, with RJ City.
⁃ After RJ wraps up, X-Pac is still hanging out with The Bump crew.
⁃ Kayla moves things along to the next guest, Drew McIntyre.

Drew McIntyre

Drew joins the show for the 11th time, and he realizes it’s NWO week, so he gives a big too sweet to the camera. X-Pac says he predicted that Drew would return to WWE and become Champion, and Drew thanks him for “making it come true.” Kayla brings up Jinder Mahal and Co. stealing McIntyre’s sword, and Drew tells her “it was nice to see Jinder-Taker on his bike. Now he’s given me a good reason to beat his ass next week.” Matt wonders what X-Pac thinks of Drew winning the title during the pandemic, and the hall of famer talks about the importance of having a crowd around. Drew responds, and says “it’s like you can almost hear the crowd when you’re in there. It’s like you have this inner monologue of the crowd, even though you can’t hear them.” Evan wonders if X-Pac has any advice on ladder matches for Drew, and X-Pac tells Drew “do your own thing man.” Drew chimes in, and says “I’m just gonna stand by, and then start beating people with the ladder. Sometimes when I get going I go a little to far.” Kayla asks if Drew has any memories of the NWO, and who his favorite member of the group is. Drew explains “Of course, Syxx Pac! I remember when the group came together, and I was just like wow, Hulk Hogan is a bad guy now. It was the coolest period in wrestling. Probably could have doen without adding 5,000 members though.” Matt wants to know if Drew bought into the “cool factor” of the NWO, and Drew tells Matt “they were the coolest thing ever. They said they were gonna kick butt and they did. You couldn’t dislike them.” Kayla thanks Drew for stopping by, and wishes him good luck in the Money In The Bank match, as Drew leaves with another too sweet.

⁃ Kayla announces the guest’s for next week’s edition of The Bump, and brings on the final guest of the day.

Liv Morgan

Liv makes her presence felt on the show, and she gives the camera a too sweet, because how could you not? Matt begins by asking Liv if she’s taken anything from X-Pac as a performer, and she’s tells viewers “I’ve learned to be different. I’ve always been kind of the oddball, and I just fight every day to prove myself. He’s inspring, and he’s got swagger.” Evan joins the conversation, and asks Liv about her recent victories seemingly being overlooked. Liv tells him “I want to say I’m frustrated, but I’m really beside myself. I want to earn my way into the Money In The Bank match. I don’t know why Sonya is just appointing people she believes should be in the match. She’s not even giving me a chance, I mean, welcome back Zelina?” Ryan asks Liv if there’s a reason she has won matches, but has failed to qualify for the Money In The Bank match. Liv responds, and questions “have I done something? Does Sonya have something against me? Zelina has been gone all year, and now she just automatically qualifies for the match? I feel like I’m being overlooked, but I’m more than ready, willing, and able to prove myself to anyone.” Kayla asks Liv to think about the risks involved with the Money In The Bank match, and Morgan says “I’m ready to take them all. This match is full of potential, and unlimited injuries, but I’m ready to do it. I’m ready to become a champion, that’s my next step, and that’s all I’m looking at. To be in the match itself would be crazy, just having the chance to go to that level.” X-Pac offers up a few words of encouragement, as well as The Bump crew, and Kayla thanks Liv for her time.

⁃ The hosts close the show by sharing a few final thoughts on NXT, and plug tomorrow’s NXT UK, as the show fades to black.

That’s all for this episode of The Bump! Thanks for stopping by the recap, and have a great rest of your day everyone.
